The Elsa Hood is a wonderfully snuggly knitted scarf and hood combo ~ perfect for keeping lovely and warm and super stylish on colder days. Inspired by the knitted pixie bonnets that were so popular on the 1930’s and 1940’s ski slopes, and named for my favourite designer Elsa Schiaparelli who made this bonnet style fashionable in the first place. There’s also a little of my favourite fairytale in Elsa, Little Red Riding Hood!

This simple PDF knitting pattern is a lovely project for the confident beginner and above.

Knitted in a rib pattern throughout using Aran weight wool, this is a fairly quick project knitted in one piece, with one seam that creates the hood shape. You can finish your Elsa off with tassels as described or pop pompoms on for a different look.
