Tara Deighton Atelier offers a limited number of bespoke commissions each season, specialising in vintage-inspired garments, couture-influenced construction, and thoughtfully crafted pieces designed to be treasured for years to come.
Each commission is approached collaboratively, with careful attention given to silhouette, fit, fabric, and craftsmanship. The atelier’s aesthetic draws inspiration from historical dress, old Hollywood glamour, and timeless tailoring, interpreted through a modern and wearable lens.

Commissions Undertaken
The Commission Process
Initial Enquiry ~
Clients are invited to submit an enquiry including details about the project, timeline, inspiration, and any relevant references.
Consultation ~
Selected commissions begin with an in-depth consultation to discuss design direction, fabrics, fit, and construction.
Design & Development ~
Where appropriate, sketches, toiles, fabric sourcing, and design refinements are developed collaboratively before construction begins.
Fittings & Construction ~
Garments are created with close attention to fit, finish, and longevity, using couture-inspired techniques and thoughtful construction methods.

The atelier accepts a limited number of commissions throughout the year in order to maintain a highly personal and detail-focused process.

Pricing
Each commission is unique and therefore prices vary and will depend on the complexity of the commission.
Your commission includes consultations, design, fabrics & Notions, pattern cutting, fittings and construction of your bespoke piece.
The total cost will be discussed and agreed with you upon the initial consultation, then Tara will design 3 concepts for you. Once you have chosen your final design, a works agreement is signed and a 50% non refundable deposit is paid before development starts with the remaining cost to be paid 2 weeks prior to garment collection. A payment plan can be put in place and Tara is happy to work within your budgetary requirements if possible.
