Join me for this 1 day Copy Your Clothes WORKSHOP in Bexhill on Sea on Saturday 20th September.
 
When your treasured clothes become too threadbare to wear, it can be difficult to replace them in this fast fashion society. But by learning how to copy your favourite garments, you will be able to make as many of them as you like in every colour or fabric that works for your unique sense of style.
 
My Copy Your Clothes workshop takes you through the entire process of making a pattern from your garment and the best bit is ~ you don’t have to take the original apart!
 
In this class you will learn how to:
·Identify the anatomy of your garment
·Copy each of these parts of your garment easily and accurately
·Add design elements and details such as pockets, pleats and gathers
·Add seam allowance and annotations on your pattern such as grainlines and notches
·Complete an accurate paper copy of your chosen garment
 
You will need ~
2 or 3 simple garments you would like to copy {You will focus on 1 but it's good to have spare!}
A 2h or sharp pencil
A ruler or patternmaster
Tape measure
Pins {preferably steel flathead pins
Cellotape or masking tape
Notebook and pen
Paper Scissors {Sharp ones!}
