Styled shoot at The Pilgrim's Rest
Last week I shared the inspiration for the Midsummer Night's dream photo shoot that took place at the out of this world BEAUTIFUL Pilgrim's Rest in Battle. So this week I wanted to show you the results!
It was such an incredible day and I was super proud to be working with so many creative and inspiring people! I felt we created something really beautiful that magical day and I hope you enjoy the outcome!
The antique Austrian Myrtle crown was kindly loaned by jewellery designer Estelle Burton
The Titania dress is inspired by Elizabethan dress but I wanted an ethereal light as air feel, so I made the main overdress out of delicate tulle, very subtly embellished with handmade flowers and edged with vintage lace from my collection. The corset is quilted at the front panel and I love the subtle shimmer of the duchess satin under the tulle- also it echoes the tones of the bridesmaids jumpsuits. for the inspiration- read here!
Our Titania and Oberon were real life couple Abi and Fred who I had the absolute pleasure of working with last summer, making Abi's wedding dress. She's so lovely and I felt really lucky to be able to make another dress for her! (I'll be sharing their stunning wedding pictures in a future blog!)
The lovely Alex is our Puck, in a french navy satin Viola dress, based on a 1940's style. How stunning is that blue against the beautiful bouquet by the wonderful Wild Rubus!
All the beautiful headpieces worn by Abi and her bridesmaids are by Madrugar Millinery, who I work with a lot. I love how my dresses and her hats just compliment each other so perfectly!
Our Peaseblossom and Mustardseed- Lili and Grace in gold Blossom jumpsuits. The make up was beautifully done by Natasha Valerie MakeUp and the hair was by
All photography throughout by Georgina Piper Photographer.
I hope you've found something to inspire here and please come along to The Pilgrim's Rest in Battle on Sunday 25th February from 11-6 to meet all those involved in this shoot for our Bespoken wedding fair- I look forward to seeing you there!
