It's a wrap.... The Ultimate Party dress for everyone!

It has been an incredibly busy month here in my little studio by the sea! The height of wedding season has been matched with so many exciting things going on, I hardly know where to begin. I will start with this little blog about my FAVOURITE dress EVER! (I know, I say this about all my dresses, but I really, really do love them all!)

I've been developing a few wrap dress and top designs, mainly for myself to wear as my body shape seems to be changing constantly and I wanted something, easy and comfortable yet flattering and a bit sexy to wear and feel super confident in. The wrap dress really does have it all and this one- the Pallenberg is going to be a real winner! Especially for winter parties and celebrations.

Inspired by the late and great Anita Pallenberg, who so sadly passed away recently, the Pallenberg has the most lovely slimline bishop sleeves, asymmetric hem and generous tie belt.

I made this version for a photo shoot I styled recently for my friends new website. It's in the most gorgeous hand dyed muslin- sort of Jane Austin meets 60's hedonism!

Anita Pallenberg has to be one of THE ultimate style icons if, like me, you love that late 60's, early 70's boho vibe and she's influenced the style of just about every starlet, designer and muse since. I love her because she decided to go to university at a mature age to study fashion and textiles and proved to the end that style isn't the sole preserve of the youth!

I'm always amazed how she was able to look so impeccable, even through her drug fuelled haze! I find it hard to get it together after 1 too many Earl Greys!

I want to make up some Pallenbergs in fabrics like these- vintage viscose florals, japanese crepe and panne velvet silk! All in lush colours perfect for the colder months or glamming up with some sparkle for all those parties to come! And because the wrap dress is so forgiving around the waistline, there's no need to forego the cake (or 2!)

I can't wait to share some styled up images of this dress- a shoot is imminent and hope you fall in love with it as much as I have!
