A Vintage Bohemian Winter
As a designer I always look forward to the various fashion weeks and new collections that litter the year like confetti. Even though I design Bridal wear, I never really look at what's happening in terms of trends in that industry. I look at my favourite designers, and vintage designs. Even so, It's rare to fall in love with so many collections and we haven't even got to Paris yet and my truest love, Valentino!
Temperley's designs are always beautiful, intricate, romantic but wearable. Beautifully embellished, the applique chiffons, shown here in black and white are breathtaking, subtle and clever. So much to inspire and dream about!
As always, a beautiful and romantic collection. The ruffled and embellished models look like they're haunting a decaying chateau. Erdem's signature is romance and these pieces don't disappoint, although this season hints at a darker more faded glamour. Beautiful embellishment techniques are used on luxe fabrics to create wearable forever pieces.
Such a beautiful collection, full of romance and femininity, but still with the harder tailoring the brand is so well known for. Ruffles and embellishment feature heavily throughout.
It's when you get up close to McQueen's pieces that you really see the detail and craft in every piece! I've fallen in love with these particular details and I'm dreaming of owning the quilted coat- perfect for freezing days by the sea where I live! I love the beaded and embroidered flora and fauna- especially the unicorn. These are dream dresses for real life fairytales.
A totally rock and roll collection from Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent! I just love it and I want to wear ALL of it! Brilliant!
My own personal taste runs to the bohemian, I suppose which is why the pieces from these collections resonate with me. My favourite board on Pinterest is called Vintage Bohemian and it is my perfect aesthetic so I shall be spending the whole of the Summer dreaming of the Winter.
